A minority of us went to help and contribute to the SSPCA - (Sarawak Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals) at 6 1/2 mile.

There were people from New Century Lions Club Kuching Emerald and Lodge School Alumni. and 3 from Photoborneo.com

It was my first time going to SSPCA and there is no words to express my feelings, it was all heart wrenching moments.

Furthermore to hear the stories of the care taker of SSPCA, it was beyond my expectation of what we humans are really capable of doing - cold and heartless.

I saw cat with the paw chop off, a cat with an eye missing. and there were reports on dogs that had the tail chop off, leaving it infested with maggots. Some tied up to steel drain pipes and left to die.

Just within the 2 hours there, one of the workers found a box of kittens being dump right outside of the SSPCA centre. The box were all damp due to the heavy rain. Imagine how the cats gone through the night.

And later, an old lady drag her dog from her car and dump it to the center with the reason "too many dogs at home".

Well can't say all are bad, there are nice people and there are people with horrible hearts whom should be cursed

Its a non profit organization and they have 5 workers to maintain the place and keep the animals safe.

They need alot of contribution / help / volunteers from the public

They need alot of newspapers and cardboard boxes. bring it along if you have it at home.

Best thing u can do is take home one of them. there are really really nice puppies around. barely a month old !

If you cannot find SSPCA, just find Pizza Hut at 7th Mile.
and go straight the road, you will find place with low fencing with alot of cages around. Their signboard is already worn out.
